Nokonoshima Islandpark is accessible in 40 minutes from the city center of Fukuoka.

This natural park has over 30 types of seasonal flowers and 10 cottages where you can stay for the night.

Each cottage is a free standing building, located next to a flower field overlooking Hakata Bay. 

Besides the flowers and cottage staying, you can also enjoy BBQ, rope skiing, pottery experience, camping, and many more in the park!

The beautiful purplish red flowers of Japanese scallion are in full bloom between late October and early November.

Japanese scallion is a vegetable of the lily family, and Japanese people often pickle their bulbs and eat them as a garnish on Japanese curry.

Possessing a distinct aroma, pickled Japanese scallions not only make an excellent side dish, but are also very healthy with benefits such as increasing blood flow.

Tottori Prefecture, easily accessible from Kyoto and Osaka area, is famous as a productions site of Japanese scallions, and they are grown in fields of sand close to the Tottori Sand Dunes and Sand Museum.

This is a nice place to stroll with your family and enjoy the view of flowers fields of Japanese scallions after visiting the famous Tottori Sand Dunes and Sand Musuem.

 

Lake Biwa is the largest fresh water lake in Japan.

It is also an ancient lake which has existed for over 4 milion years and estimated to be the 13th oldest lake in the world.

Although Lake Biwa is located at Shiga prefecture, you can reach there easily in 10 minutes from Kyoto.

There are plenty of activities to do at Lake Biwa for family travelers.

Kochi, Japan to hold social media challenge you can participate in from home!

 

Kochi Prefecture is holding "The Yosakoi Challenge: Yosakoi Your Way to Happiness" social media event from February 1st to February 28th, 2021.

Kochi Prefecture is challenging those outside Japan to help bring smiles to people around the world by making a one-minute Yosakoi Dance video from home.

Post the video on social media to be entered in a lottery for a chance to win one of 60 prizes from Kochi Prefecture.
